This is Herman, he and I, Frappuccino, are headed off on an adventure to Spain for 16-17 weeks. The idea of this blog is to keep my family and friends updated on all of our journeys with a little twist. Every Friday I hope to post a new blog about a new and exciting place that we have visited. Your job is to find Herman in the picture. Sometimes it will be obvious where he is, and other times you may not find him… Sometimes there may be more than one picture so be prepared to find Herman in all of them! In addition to a picture/s of wherever we may be at the time I will write some facts, thoughts or emotions about the place we have visited and seen.
For those of you who may not know…
I am a senior at Colorado State University and I am headed to Bilbao, Spain for a study abroad program in the hopes of obtaining fluency of the Spanish language above all. However, experiencing a different culture, traveling and making new friends are all at the top of the list as well.
I am from the aWeSoMe state of Colorado which has a population of 5,029,196 and a square mileage of almost 104,100. In contrast, Spain has a population of nearly 40 million and a square mileage of 194,000. As you can see, Spain has a lot more people than Colorado!
I will be leaving the States on August 28th 2011 at 11a.m. with my Spanish dictionary and Herman in hand! Look for my next post on September 2nd – Herman and I will be exploring Madrid and Toledo so be prepared!
